My Story:

I created Alfaman and Alfaman Characters in 2016 after reading an article regarding the “Top 25 Greatest Black Superheroes”. I decided that another black superhero should be added to the list, and I started creating Vince Penet (known as Alfaman). Since I am a huge Marvel fan, I first read hundreds of biographies, powers, abilities, and storylines of great characters created by both greats Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. My intention was to create a character with a unique name, background, biography and of course superpowers and weaknesses. With my favorite heroes being the Black Panther, Blade, Captain America, and Spawn there was no doubt my character would be connected in some way to them all. Alongside finding unique names and powers was ensuring that no character name I used was in existence, so research had to be conducted for each one of my character names (although names such as Alphaman and Khepri did already exist, the names in my form of Alfaman and Princess Khepri did not).

In realizing that I had created a superhero I needed a great supervillain, then I created a team of individuals (The Masked Soldiers) and so forth until I had created over 70 characters to form the Alfaman Universe! After creating dozens of characters, I had them registered and copyrighted to protect my intellectual property (IP). From the single thought of a black superhero five years ago to the creation of this retail website (www.alfamanmerch.com) has been a long journey of reading, learning, and constantly refining Alfaman Characters. It is an honor to have come this far, and I pray that one day Alfaman can be my contribution to this world, a world where a thought of one black superhero became one of the ever greatest ever created!
